After School Connection
Safe, convenient and FUN after school care, available 5 days a week
ASC provides committed and loving staff to nurture your child’s creativity and spirit. We provide homework supervision, arts & crafts, games, indoor and outdoor play, snacks and beverages, quiet time for rest, reading time and much more! Students will be able to participate in any registered After School Clubs and events offered. The ASC team will work in tandem with Club advisors to ensure that your child(ren) arrive and leave club sessions on time.
The Hillel After School Connection is offered from 3:30-6:00pm. Students are picked up at the back entrance of the building. On early dismissal Fridays during the winter months, end time varies (see Early Friday Schedule). Our ASC Program is supervised by faculty and highly qualified non-faculty personnel.
The After School Care Coordinator has the flexibility to schedule each afternoon to suit the children present. HCDS students are transferred from their classrooms to After School Connection at dismissal time. Children who are enrolled in after school clubs are transferred to After School Connection at the completion of their club times.
The After Care Program begins with 30 minutes of free choice play or homework. Children may play games, socialize, read, build, create, or simply relax with friends. After a snack, planned activities such as science exploration, crafts, and sports are available. Homework support and supervision is provided.
Children may attend After School Connection on a regularly scheduled basis or occasionally, as needed. Special half-day and school vacation programs are offered and may require advance registration. All club registration and fees are separate from ASC, but can be billed monthly along with routine ASC fees.
After School Care is billed monthly. For your convenience, a credit card may be kept on file with the office. Credit card receipts will be issued. Please advise whether monthly receipts for FSA reimbursement are needed, otherwise, an annual statement is provided for tax purposes. Half day and school vacation programs requiring advance registration may be billed separately.
