About Hillel Community Day School

Hillel is a private community Jewish Day School, offering a full-day program, 8:00 am-3:30 pm, for all students from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. After school care is also offered Monday-Thursday until 6:00 pm and Fridays, 30 minutes before the start of Shabbat.

 

Students thrive in our multi-faceted integrated curriculum including:

Our nine-acre campus is located in the suburb of Brighton, just outside Rochester, NY. The Town of Brighton is home to a close-knit Jewish community including:

  • A select Israeli Jewish population

  • Ashkenazim and Sephardim

  • Ethnic Jewish groups.

The ultimate goal of Hillel is to provide all students with an exceptional General-Hebrew-Jewish Studies academic educational experience that accommodates to their social emotional well-being and spiritual growth, while developing a healthy balanced Jewish identity, in a lifestyle committed to living Jewish values. 

 

Our favorable 6:1 average student-to-teacher ratio enables teachers to know all their students and provide differentiated instruction for each and every enrolled child. An Instructional Leadership Team and Pupil Personnel Service Coordinator tailor enrichment and remediation programs to meet the needs of each and every child in our school.
