AFTER-SCHOOL CONNECTION (ASC)

Hillel Community Day School offers an exciting After School Connection Program  for current students, their families and friends.   This program provides a structured Day Care, including quiet time, snack, homework time and play time. The program is available from the end of the school day at 3:15pm until 6:00pm. The cost is $5/hour and families are invoiced monthly for the time their child spends in the program.  It is available on an “as needed” basis, allowing families the option to enroll their children even as late as the day needed.  Students will be able to participate in any after school clubs and events offered. ASC is also available on early dismissal days.

SPORTS CLUB

A fun hour of sports and games that also increases your child’s skill level

Each Session is 11 Weeks Long with Instruction by Dave Rogachefsky, Hillel’s Physical Education instructor.  Sports Club meets from 3:15 – 4:15pm on Monday and Thursday afternoons.  After School Care is available following the program.  There will be no Sports Club fee for children enrolled in the After School Connection; however you must be registered for ASC before the start of Sports Club.  You may sign up for the full session or choose the pay-by the-day option.

Chess Club

Chess is known to teach logic, problem solving, analysis techniques, and even improve study habits.  But the main reason our kids love it is- they have fun!

This one hour program is taught by an experienced instructor from the Rochester Chess Center.  All ages (K - 8th Grade) and skill levels from beginner to advanced are welcome.

Beginners who arrive without any knowledge of the game will become proficient players from their club experience; advanced players will build on their previous knowledge and learn advanced skills and new strategies.

The next (7 week) session will begin on 11/9 and meet on Tuesdays from 3:20 PM – 4:20 PM
