Welcome arrow Newsflash Rewind arrow Annual Walk to Cure Diabetes
Dear Hillel School Family,

I can't believe that we're gearing up for the annual Walk to Cure  Diabetes.

On Sunday, May 18, 2008, our team "Ilan's Invaders"  will participate in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's (JDRF) Walk at RIT.

Ilan has had Diabetes for almost 5 years - that's TOO LONG!!!  He's 11 now and was diagnosed when he was just 6 years old. We are hoping a cure will be found soon, but vital research can't be done without funding.

Now there are two ways you can help US make a difference for Ilan, and  for everyone living with diabetes:

 1. You can join our Family team, "Ilan's Invaders", which consists of family and friends who collect pledges and walk for us.

 2. You can send a tax-deductible contribution of any amount, made payable to JDRF or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

To register as a walker on our team, go to http://www.jdrf.org (find Ilan's Invaders)

To make a tax-free donation, go to this link:

http://walk.jdrf.org/

Then you go to "Support a Walker" (type in Nonna Hirschfield), and follow the onscreen instructions.

Our goal is to raise $3,500 for diabetes research. Every dollar will help bring us one step closer to the cure.

Thank you SO MUCH in advance for your support...we hope to see you at the walk on Sunday, May 18st @ 9am at RIT on Jefferson Rd.

 With heartfelt thanks,

Brian, Nonna, Ilan & Dassie Hirschfield
