Hillel Community Day School Admissions Process

You have already taken the first step in the Admissions process--learning about Hillel Community Day School by visiting our website!

The next step is to schedule a visit to the school to meet some of our amazing students, faculty and staff. Tours are available Monday thru Friday, from 9am-3pm. If you and your family would like to try our hot kosher lunches for FREE, try and schedule your tour near lunchtime (11:45am-12:20pm). Click on the Request Info/Visit/Tour link to schedule a tour.

If your child misses the cutoff date for Kindergarten eligibility and you feel that they are ready for Kindergarten, we will be happy to schedule an Admissions Assessment with our Director of General Studies and Administrative Coordinator, Jaklyn Buff. You may speak with Jackie to set up an assessment when you arrive for your tour.

After your tour, make sure to pick up an Admissions Application Packet at the school. For your convenience, you may also download a Packet as well as a Financial Aid form from our website. Click on the Application section to access these forms.

When submitting your Application Packet and/or Financial Aid forms, make sure to include any additional required paperwork and application fees. Having all the required information at once will help us to speed the process along. Each year, we offer substantial discounts for early enrollment. To secure this discount, you must make sure to submit your application and application fee by the deadline. For more information on Admissions Discounts, click on the Application section.

Tuition Assistance

We understand that every family’s financial situation is different and that numbers on paper don’t always accurate reflect a family’s economic circumstances. For this reason, our Financial Aid application contains a section which takes into account any unusual conditions that might affect your financial situation. Although the Financial Aid form is processed by an outside agency, we have a Scholarship Committee that will review applications with extenuating circumstances to determine an appropriate amount of aid. All applications reviewed by the committee are kept confidential. In addition to being awarded financial aid money, there are other ways to fulfill your financial obligation. We have many volunteer opportunities and bingo shifts where we can use your help.
